The Maintenance and Service Technician position reports to the Field Manager and is expected to perform Maintenance and Service of HVAC related systems and will respond to service calls to solve issues with customer equipment as they arise. The Maintenance and Service Technician will develop a plan to complete each job which will include loading and unloading of company trucks, organizing and maintaining clean equipment, keeping professional demeanor with fellow employees and customers and ensuring the customers’ needs are satisfied.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus on Maintaining and Servicing of HVAC products which include: Furnaces, Fireplaces, Air Conditioners, Heat Pumps, Air Quality Products
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to improve skills.
  • Listening and adhering to directions of HVAC Service Foreman/Field Manager.
  • Following company guidelines for safety, handbook requirements, timecards and any other management policies.

Job Duties:

  • Loading/Unloading of trucks with proper work materials and tools at beginning of work day.
  • Restocking trucks with supplies needed for days projects.
  • Review of job packet with Foreman/Field Manager to understand necessary actions and formulate plans.
  • Greeting customer in a friendly manner.
  • Conveying scope of work needed to be accomplished and ensuring customer has understanding of scope.
  • Preparing worksite which will include unloading materials and equipment from truck, laying drop cloths and ensuring customers’ homes are protected from potential harm by equipment.
  • Cleaning and servicing duct work/venting using brushes, scopes and other tools.
  • This position may potentially oversee other technicians in training.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • 3-5 Years HVAC Service and Maintenance experience
  • Ability to use power tools, hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Providing personal hand tools (company provides power tools).
  • Maintain clean and organized truck.
  • Maintain professional presentation (clean uniform, acceptable grooming, courteous and professional communication with customers and co-workers)

Job Description

  • Run approximately 12 – 16 well qualified sales appointments per week for homeowners who are looking to upgrade their home
  • Earn trust with homeowners by listening and designing solutions that naturally fit their desired outcomes
  • Ensure solutions work, checking routing and access in all areas of home including attics and crawlspaces
  • Work as a team on complex solutions, communicating with support/operations to keep us installing systems that we are confident will create home success.
  • Provide homeowner proposal of solutions and effectively communicate the scope of work, investment, payment choices, and value of improving their home with our team
  • Have a clear and disciplined follow up program that keeps you in communication with homeowners working to earn the business until a decision is made
  • Earn the business
  • Upon earning business, create and upload detailed installation notes and video quickly
  • Complete daily CRM entries via phone or laptop and review CRM activities daily
  • Work daily with computer, internal cloud platform & CRM system. Using computer effectively is critical to success for the position.
  • Be available throughout day for calls from operations and support teams.
  • Visit installations and provide world class customer service to your homeowners
  • Attend meetings and training as necessary

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 years of proven sales success, B2C, in-home sales preferred.
  • Ability to manage details, fill out forms accurately and stay highly organized
  • Winning attitude and team player mentality…us not me.
  • Valid WA State driver with clean driving record
  • Strong computer skills, strong technical aptitude.
  • Industry experienced will be preferred

Compensation Structure

  • Training pay while ramping up
  • Industry leading 100% commission structure
  • $100,000 annual income is minimum expectation with ceiling $200,000+

What will you do?

  • Answer inbound phone calls from homeowners inquiring about products and services

  • Schedule sales and service appointments using CRM database
  • CRM data entry of new customers, pending activities and closing activities.
  • Follow written processes and direction set by department managers
  • Communicate with dispatch, coordinators and management on priority customer issues

The Window and Door Service/Measure Technician has at least 10 years of experience in the retrofit window and door installation.  The position requires excellent customer and internal communication, high level attention to detail, problem solving, accurate paperwork and a team player.  The position reports to the Window and Door Foreman.  The ideal candidate will have been a lead installer and have experience installing windows and doors.  This is a great position for someone who is looking to scale back on the rigors of daily installations and use skills acquired from install experience to assist the team through service and measuring

Responsibilities:

  • Run window and door service appointments
  • Determine warranty coverage and cost of repairs
  • Find solutions to problems and order materials when necessary
  • Fill out paperwork and turn in a timely fashion
  • Install windows are doors without assistance from another occasionally
  • Products you will be servicing: Vinyl, wood, fiberglass windows; IGU’s; Interior and Exterior doors; Gutters
  • Meet homeowners who have recently purchased windows and doors
  • Review paperwork from sales and ensure that what was sold is what customer is expecting
  • Measure all units to be replaced and confirm against measurements of the sales representative
  • Determine correct installation method, make installation notes and take pictures
  • Turn critical measure paperwork into office on time
  • Communicate any changes to installation method and/or pricing after critical measure to sales and operation support teams
  • Use operational systems to complete appointments, take notes and follow internal processes
  • Occasional assistance on challenging installs with lead window/door installers
  • Daily communication with Window/door Foreman

Job Duties:

  • Review schedule daily, get materials needed for the day and spend less than 30 minutes per day loading in the warehouse
  • Conduct window and door service appointments providing excellent documentation and communicate with customers and internal teams
  • Conduct critical measure appointments. Measure windows and doors to be built by manufacturer.  Ensure scope of work is what customer is expecting
  • Oversee proper set up and protection at job site to ensure a safe worksite and customer satisfaction.
  • Daily communication with foreman
  • Problem solving and customer resolutions
  • Accurate documentation of paperwork needs
  • Installation of service items including windows, doors, trim, caulking, flashing and touch up work
  • Handle customer issues in a professional manner, communicating customer needs to foreman, management and others who need to be aware of issues
  • Setting up and working on ladders, planks and scaffolding.
  • Working with power tools, most commonly: Power Nailer, Table saw, circular saw, reciprocating saw, chop saw.
  • Proper disposal of waste and recyclable materials in company dumpsters.
  • Working in Warehouse as fill in when requested.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • 10 years of experience in retrofit window and door installation
  • Attention to detail is essential to be successful in position
  • Customer communication and working well with homeowners
  • Ability to use power tools, hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Providing personal hand tools (company provides power tools).
  • Maintain excellent driving record.
  • Maintain clean and organized truck.
  • Maintain professional presentation (clean uniform, acceptable grooming, courteous and professional communication with customers and co-workers)
  • Mechanical/Carpentry knowledge and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

 Physical Requirements:

  • 75% or more of day spent standing, walking, crawling, crouching, stooping, kneeling, lifting and operating tools.
  • Ability to lift 50 or more pounds multiple times a day.
  • Comfortable working in extreme environmental conditions including but not limited to: Wet and humid weather, working near mechanical or moving parts, working on a ladder or roof, working in extreme cold or heat, in and around electrical, explosive or toxic conditions with the risk of shock, explosions and/or inhalation of particles and fumes.
