Seamless gutters—the what, why, and how.

Danielle Onat | 10/06/2016 | Posted in Siding

Fall has once again descended on the Pacific Northwest, and it is arguably one of the most beautiful seasons in our region. With this beauty comes falling leaves, which are great for the fall aesthetic, but not so easy on our gutters. If you’re having flashbacks of last year’s leaking gutters and precious weekend hours spent cleaning them, read on. It’s time to get your mind in the gutter.

What are seamless gutters?

No surprise here—they’re gutters that have no seams. They have fasteners and joints only at the corners and downspouts. Seamless gutters from Washington Energy Services are made of Reynolds aluminum and feature Reynolds ReynoGuard finish, a high-performance topcoat that’s resistant to UV radiation and extreme weather conditions.

Why should I consider installing seamless gutters?

First, fewer seams mean less leaks. Joints and seals are often the first places to erode, leak, or trap debris such as leaves, pine cones, pine needles, and more. Reduced seams allow the water to flow more easily to the downspouts, which protects your roof and siding from accumulated water and debris. The improved water and debris flow also means less upkeep and cleaning. Add Gutter Guards to your new seamless gutters, and you’ll experience even less blockage, and therefore, significantly reduced maintenance.

Seamless gutters are also aesthetically pleasing. In fact, they’re measured to fit your unique home to ensure a perfect fit and an attractive, custom look.

How can I get seamless gutters?

If your gutters are constantly clogging, leaking, or sagging, it’s time for an upgrade. Usually, the best time to change your gutters are when you are considering a new siding. Call Washington Energy Services or go online to set up a free in-home estimate. We’ll send one of our skilled gutter installers to inspect, recommend, and install the best gutters for your home and budget.

So if you’re spending too much time clearing your gutters of newly fallen leaves, and not enough time enjoying them, consider seamless gutters. Your home—and your future self—will thank you for it.
