How are our green habits?

Washington Energy | 04/06/2015 | Posted in Home energy audit

This Earth Day are you a shining green example or a greenhorn when it comes energy efficient habits at home and in your community?  In our semi-annual Northwest Energy Survey, we asked homeowners about their green practices, and findings released this month reveal respondents’ top practices, where they’re lagging as well as community and generational differences.

One Response to “How are our green habits?”

Our garden is the best well-kept and well tended
landscape in our neighborhood, thanks to our talented Vietnamese gardeners (fringe benefit from the Vietnam war). Some people prefer to landscape their property with “4 wheels” as their status symbols. One way to get back our property taxes is to have vegetables and beautiful flowering plants on our property, passersby and neighbors can share in the beauty as well as the produce from our vegetable plot. Flowers, BTW, project prosperity, they glorify God, who created them, as well as they are something pretty to look at everyday. Of course, there are properties that look like blackboards, no landscape to speak of. Not inspiring to the spirit, because they look dismal.
