In the beginning
Northwest Water Heater Exchange was started in the heart of Ballard in 1957, providing timely tank replacement and exceptional customer service.

More than water heaters
As time passed the business expanded and partnered with Washington Natural Gas as a subsidiary. A few years later, Washington Natural Gas and Puget Power merged to form Puget Sound Energy. Washington Energy Services, as you know it today, was born from these partnerships and started providing more than just water heaters.

Becoming all for home
They soon saw there were companies that sold home products or installed home products, but no company that took ownership of the product, installation, and service all-together. They knew this approach would solve many contractor and box-store issues faced by customers. At this point, Washington Energy Services took on the whole-home approach providing heating, cooling, windows, doors, and siding, and became a top home improvement company in the area.
