When power is interrupted, the automatic transfer switch immediately signals the generator to start.

• Monitors incoming voltage from utility line - around the clock. 
• Safely closes off utility line and opens new power line from the generator.
• Within seconds, your standby system begins supplying electricity to the critical emergency units of your home.
• When utility power returns, the transfer switch will re-transfer the electrical load back to the utility source and resume monitoring for subsequent loss.
